magda danysz is no stranger to pushing boundaries. she defied trend and opened her gallery on the other side of the marais. now go see what else she's pushing at the recently opened shopping spot artydandy.

located on the up-and-coming rue amelot, danysz stocks pieces and design objets from the like of barcelona design, tom dixon and castelbajac. she made a name for herself by discovering some of the best known street artists today. and now you can have a piece of her pie. sure this isn't your mother's manet, but that's the point. the paintings and sculptures at artydandy are kitsch and meant to serve as a social metaphor. pick up pierre blanc china plates emblazoned with masked wrestlers or an arik levy mod bronze candelabra. you might not get the social metaphor in a bronze warrior teddy bear, but no one has to know.

your friends still think that stain on your wall is art.
