we know, we know - if you had a nickel for every model-actress turned fashion designer. but a new swimwear line, junglegurl, created by former model natalie golonka, uses repurposed fabrics from vintage clothing she collected during her years of globetrotting to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

golonka's beach life (a childhood in fiji and hawaii), combined with her fashion sensibility (as a designer for AG jeans in paris and italy) and her frustration with not being able to find bikinis she liked, led her to design the two styles for junglegurl. each piece is unique, so even though nicole richie might have recently bought one, you don't have to worry about being seen in the same look. (we know you'd fill it better, anyway.)

if that doesn't inspire you to try one on, maybe the eco-friendly factor might. (right, because if anything is going to destroy the earth, it's going to be the amount of fabric that goes into a tiny two piece.) at least they're not paying slave workers two dollars an hour to sweat over your perfect lycra.
