sig ep. phi psi. delta nu. no matter where you partied as a frat rat, relive your memories at the recently opened 675 bar.

in the spot that once housed level V (underneath resto vento), the look of 675 bar is miles away from the clubby vibe of its former occupant. gone are the red lights, and boudoir interior. in its place? the spot is dressed way down to include mismatched furniture, shag rugs and club chairs. don't be surprised if you feel like you're partying it up at your neighbor's basement game room; that's exactly what the folks at B.R. guest wanted. hunker down in one of the comfy couches, or get some friends together to huddle in one of the themed "holes," five private rooms that include either a wall of books, foos ball table, ms pacman or flat screen TV for watching sports.

the major change? no bottle service, here. instead, order up some good brew like duvel or st. peter's porter. or sip some signature cocktails with names like rubik's cubicle and mr. rufus, and tip your mug to the drink's namesake (a life-sized porcelain horse with lampshade hat). if late night noshing is your fancy, then order up some chicken parm silver dollars or choco covered bacon. and while you're there? give props to the awesome managers and staff who make you feel right at home.

it could very well be the best bar in town. 675 bar. 675 hudson street (entrance on west 13th). at 9th. 212.699.2410. www.675bar.com
