  lady grey bird pendant

you've got your head in the clouds, bird brain. perch yourself on the branch and pick up the lady grey bird pendant (£315) to help you come down to earth.

lady grey jewellery is the brainchild of designers and friends jill martineli and sabine le guyader. the brooklyn-based duo met after they noticed their similarities in their techniques and concepts. both love the idea of decaying architecture, organic images and the duality between the two. you just know you love this chirpy look. a silver bird is perched on an oxidized silver branch, and a gold-plated chain is adorned with a pearl clasp. not bad for a piece derived from the idea of early orthodontics, also a fascination of lady grey. the pendant is light and sweet, a far cry from the rest of the designers' collection, which toes the line at being macabre. (skull pendants or a mink bone ring, anyone?) the necklace is exclusive to kabiri, so it's the only place where you can find this duo's creations.

you know what they say: birds of a feather certainly flock together.
