what's in a name? a lot, if it happens to be jean-georges vongerichten. the new york mega-phenom gets some southern exposure when spice market opens at the W midtown next week.
the southeast asian-inspired spice market hits the streets of hotlanta after months of anticipation. vongerichten has traveled extensively throughout asia, and tries to recreate the vibrant street food scene here. like its new york sib, dishes are enhanced with (what else?) spices to make for a tantalizing experience for your taste buds. picks like cod with malaysian chili sauce, red curried duck and steamed mussels with lemongrass thai basil are served family style. try a little bit of everything by bringing a big group. and a big appetite to match. design firms united designers and avroko head the visual aspect, creating an exotic space with colorful cushions and warm lighting.
you'll want to be on thyme to corner this market.
