who's behind it? it's a collab between the technology-based brand, LG, and the U.K. luxury design house, designers guild. call it a new kinda iPod cover, except for your washing machine. choose from butterflies and flowers, red floral damask (pictured), green trailing floral, or geometric circles. these new machines not only deliver a dose of color to an otherwise heinous laundry room, they also boast a new steam technology in the washing process. (um, the point is to clean your clothes after all.) they were developed to actually use 35 percent less water and 21 percent less energy than most washers.
